M.4 Week 1 The Indie Games Industry



This week marked the beginning of a new module that involves working on a business plan. Since I already have plans to establish my indie game business in the UK, I wanted to delve into this module. Hopefully, this coursework will eventually connect with my UK startup program.

Since my project may significantly impact future developments, I believe it's safer to work independently. This approach allows me to maintain full ownership of the project and avoid potential disputes.

My target market is the 'Gaymer' market, which I believe still represents a largely untapped opportunity. However, I believe it's time to start conducting research and surveys. Fortunately, thanks to my previous indie game campaigns, I already have a following of around 12,000 individuals, and I estimate that approximately 90% of them are 'Gaymers.' This audience should serve as a valuable source of market research.

However, it appears that the guidelines for this coursework have not yet been released. Therefore, I intend to schedule a meeting with my tutor to discuss my project and inquire about startup support from the relevant departments at my school.
